Ingredients:

  • Fresh Halal British Mutton Front Chops
  • BBQ marinade or sauce of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Additional seasonings like garlic powder, paprika, or cayenne pepper for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or prepare your BBQ pit.

  2. Season the mutton front chops with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings of your choice. Allow them to sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. Brush the BBQ marinade or sauce generously on both sides of the chops. Ensure they are evenly coated.

  4. Place the mutton front chops on the preheated grill or BBQ pit. Cook them for approximately 4-6 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the chops, until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  5. While grilling, periodically baste the chops with more BBQ marinade or sauce for added flavor and moisture.

  6. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chops. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F), and for medium, aim for 71°C (160°F).

  7. Once the mutton front chops are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  8. Serve the BBQ mutton front chops hot, and you can accompany them with your favorite side dishes like grilled vegetables, corn on the cob, or a fresh salad.

Shallow Fry
Instructions: Pan fry Med - High. Lightly oil and season chops on both sides. Heat a heavy based frying pan over a high heat until smoking. Add the chops to the dry pan and cook for 1 minute each side, reduce to medium heat and continue to cook for a further 1-2 minutes each side (medium), or 4-5 minutes each side (well done). Remove from pan and rest on a warm place for 5 minutes before serving.
