Whole chickens arrived spoiled with a foul smell! DO NOT ORDER
30 Years of Butchery Expertise
Your Meat.
Cut Exactly the Way You Want It.
We are one of the very few online butchers in the UK that lets you choose precisely how your meat is cut — straight from the product page, before it reaches your door.
What is Bespoke Cutting?
The service that sets us apart from every other online butcher
At a traditional high street butcher, you walk in, you tell them how you want your meat — and they cut it for you. That personal touch has always been the hallmark of a real butcher. But when meat moved online, that service disappeared. You were left choosing from pre-packaged, pre-cut portions with no say in how they were prepared.
We built OnlineMeatShop differently. As a family with over 30 years behind the butcher's counter at Noori Halal Butchers, we refused to compromise on that craft when we went digital. Every product on our website carries a cutting selector — so you choose exactly how your meat is prepared before we cut it fresh and dispatch it to your door.
"We have designed particular cuts that will fit 90% of your cooking needs at home or in a restaurant — all selectable directly from the product page."
Whether you're cooking a slow Nihari shank, slicing Ribeye steaks for a dinner party, or preparing chicken for a curry — the cut you need is already listed. No phone calls. No compromises. Just your meat, your way.
How It Works
Three steps — from product page to your kitchen
The Range of Cuts
Every cut style, designed around how you actually cook
Our cutting options span the full spectrum of culinary needs — from a whole roasting joint through to hand-minced meat finer than anything a supermarket offers. Here's the range of cut styles available across our products:
Whole / Roast Chunk
The full joint, untrimmed and ready for the oven or slow cooker. Ideal for Sunday roasts, dum pukht, or any low-and-slow preparation where you want maximum flavour from the whole piece.
Steaks — Thick, Mid & Thin
Precision-sliced to your chosen weight. From thick restaurant-style steaks at 400–500g down to thin escalope-style slices at 5mm. Each weight is specified so you know exactly what to expect.
Cubes — Large to Very Small
From generous 55–60g curry cubes right down to fine 10–15g pasta pieces — each size corresponds to a different cooking style and heat time, so your dish comes out exactly right.
Strips — Thick & Thin
Thick strips (around 40g) are perfect for wraps, shawarma, and fajitas. Thin strips (around 20g) are ideal for stir-fries, where quick, high-heat cooking is key.
Piece Cuts (Chicken)
Whole chickens cut to your preferred portion count — from 2 halves for the grill, to 8 pieces for a family fry, all the way to 24+ very small pieces for a rich, bone-in curry where every piece is loaded with flavour.
Mince — Hand & Machine
Machine mince is available in multiple plate sizes (4.5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9mm) for consistent texture in burgers and pasta. Hand-chopped mince is cut to under 5g — coarser, richer, and incomparable for keema, samosa filling, and kofta.
Cutting Options by Category
What to expect when you shop each meat type
Each meat category has its own distinct cutting vocabulary — shaped by how that animal is butchered and how different communities cook it. Here's a snapshot of what's available for each.
Chicken — The Most Versatile Range
From whole birds to boneless thighs, the widest cut variety of any category on the site
Beef — The Broadest Premium Range
From boneless everyday cuts to premium grass-fed steaks — each with its own full cutting menu
Lamb — British Baby Lamb, Cut Your Way
From whole racks to Henry steaks, chops to Nihari shanks
Mutton — A Specialist's Range
Deep cuts, slow-cook classics, and premium joints — seldom seen online
Goat — Bone Ratio Control & Full Cuts
The only online butcher offering mixed-part diced goat with selectable bone ratios
Your Finishing Preferences
One more choice — on top of every cut
Most online butchers give you no say in how your meat is trimmed or presented. At OnlineMeatShop, we go one step further — on top of your cut selection, almost every product carries a second option for how you'd like it finished.
