Cooking Suggestions

Flat Iron steaks are best cooked hot and fast, particularly with a 1.5cm thickness, allowing for a beautiful sear while keeping the interior tender. Here are the recommended cooking times for a 1.5cm thick steak:

• Blue: 1 min each side
• Rare: 1½ mins each side
• Medium-rare: 2½ mins each side
• Medium: 3 mins each side

Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking to ensure the juices are retained.

Storage

Suitable for home freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by the 'use by' date shown. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 12 hours in the fridge. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Once defrosted, use on the same day and do not refreeze. Keep refrigerated and consume within 1 day of opening and by the 'use by' date shown.
