Known for its long Frenched bone and richly marbled ribeye meat, the tomahawk is one of the most dramatic and flavour-packed cuts available.
This versatile cut can be enjoyed as a thick steak for grilling or pan-searing, or left whole as a substantial roast for sharing. Naturally grass-fed beef delivers a deep, beefy flavour with excellent juiciness, making this cut ideal for special occasions, weekend feasts, or indulgent steak nights.
About the Cut
The Tomahawk is a bone-in ribeye with an extended rib bone left intact for maximum flavour and visual impact. The bone helps retain moisture during cooking, while the ribeye muscle provides tenderness and rich marbling. Larger sizes are left whole and prepared as roasts, offering the same ribeye quality in a centrepiece format.

Ideal for one person. Thick-cut, bone-in steak with excellent marbling. -
Tomahawk Steak: 1–1.2kg
Perfect for sharing between 1–2 people. Bold, juicy, and impressive on the grill. -
Mid Roast: 2–2.3kg
A whole tomahawk roast, ideal for 3–4 people. Best suited to oven roasting or reverse searing. -
Full Roast: 3.5–4kg
Large whole tomahawk roast for 6–8 people. A true showpiece for gatherings and celebrations.
All cuts are prepared fresh by expert butchers. Weights may vary slightly due to natural differences in the meat.
Cooking Guide
Steak Cooking (600g–1.2kg)
Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
Grill or pan-sear over high heat for 4–6 minutes per side depending on thickness and desired doneness. Finish with butter and herbs if desired, then rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Roasting (2kg+)
Bring the meat to room temperature and season well. Sear on all sides in a hot pan, then roast in a preheated oven at 220°C (fan 200°C) for 20 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 180°C (fan 160°C) and continue cooking:
