Temperature-controlled Woolcool packaging
Fresh British Halal chicken drumsticks — Red Tractor approved, Certified Halal, from non-stunned birds. Each one weighs 100-120g and comes whole, as 2 piece portions, mid diced or lollipop-cut, skin-on or skin-off, in packs from 500g up to 10kg, ready for roasting, grilling or curry. Not the thigh — the drumstick.
How Drumsticks Are Cut, Prepped and Packed

- Pack: 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 5kg or 10kg — the full 500g to 10kg range
Drumstick or Thigh — What's the Difference?
The drumstick is the lower leg — meatier and denser than the thigh, which sits above the knee joint. This listing is drumsticks only, each one weighing 100-120g, in whole, 2 piece, mid diced or lollipop-cut form. Need thigh meat instead — that's a separate cut.
Cooking Chicken Drumsticks
Roast at around 200°C for 35-40 minutes, turning once, until the juices run clear. Skin-on crisps best in the oven or on the BBQ; skin-off suits a curry pot or karahi, where the sauce needs something to cling to. Butcher's tip: score the thickest part of the meat first, so the heat reaches the bone evenly.
Halal Sourcing
Every drumstick comes from birds slaughtered by the non-stunned method, reared Antibiotic-free and Growth hormone-free.
At 100-120g each, a 1kg pack gives you roughly 8-10 drumsticks and a 2kg pack around 16-20 — plenty for a family roast or a curry serving 4-6.
Packs span 500g right up to 10kg, so you can order a single meal's worth or stock the freezer.
Defrost frozen drumsticks in the fridge, allowing around 12 hours — never at room temperature.
Freezing from fresh? Freeze the pack on the day it arrives and give it the same 12-hour fridge defrost when you're ready to cook.

Basis: chicken dark meat with the skin on. Reference: USDA FoodData Central, "Chicken, broilers or fryers, dark meat, meat and skin, raw" (FDC 171463).
Think roast drumsticks, chicken karahi, chicken biryani, tandoori-style grilled drumsticks or a simple drumstick curry.
Marinate skin-on drumsticks, then finish them on a hot BBQ or under the grill until the skin blisters and chars.
Simmer skin-off, mid diced pieces in a spiced tomato karahi base until the meat pulls easily from the bone.
Toss whole or 2 piece drumsticks into a one-pan traybake with root vegetables, and roast until the skin crisps.
Can I freeze drumsticks separately instead of as a whole pack?
Yes — split a 3kg, 5kg or 10kg pack into smaller batches of whole, 2 piece or lollipop-cut drumsticks, and freeze each portion flat in its own bag so you only defrost what you need.
How many drumsticks make up a single freezer portion?
At 100-120g each, four to five drumsticks add up to roughly 500g — a sensible single-freeze portion for a smaller household.
How long does a frozen portion take to defrost?
Around 12 hours in the fridge, whether it's whole, 2 piece, mid diced or lollipop-cut.
Does skin-on or skin-off freeze differently?
They freeze the same way — skin-on portions just hold a touch more moisture through the 12-hour fridge defrost.
