Halal Seekh & Shami Kebab - Nisa's Frozen Chicken, Lamb & Mutton

100% Non-Stunned Halal UK Grass-Fed Pastures Chilled 48h Woolcool Delivery

Nisa's kebabs are the frozen shortcut to a kebab dinner: shaped, seasoned and ready to cook from the freezer. This page holds the three packs, 18 chicken seekh kebabs, 16 lamb seekh kebabs and 16 mutton shami kebabs. They are halal-branded frozen products with the certification printed on the pack, and they ship frozen in the same insulated box as our Certified Halal fresh meat, so keep them frozen when they arrive.

To make your own, the marinated chicken kebab mince and the halal mince range are cut to order; Nisa's samosas and spring rolls are on the samosas and pastry page.

Halal Seekh & Shami Kebab - Nisa's Frozen Chicken, Lamb & Mutton Buying Guide & Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our certified Halal butcher cuts, chilled packaging, and delivery.

How do you cook frozen seekh kebabs?

From frozen, in a pan, oven, grill or air fryer, following the pack. As a guide, a shallow fry over a medium heat takes about 8 to 10 minutes turning often, and an oven at 200C about 15 to 18 minutes; the kebab is done when it is browned outside and piping hot in the centre. Nisa's chicken seekh kebabs cook a little faster than the lamb seekh kebabs. Do not thaw them first; they hold their shape better from frozen.

What is the difference between seekh kebab and shami kebab?

Seekh kebab is minced meat seasoned and pressed around a skewer, long and cylindrical, and grilled. Shami kebab is a round patty of minced meat cooked with chana dal and spices, then shaped and shallow-fried, with a softer texture. Nisa's mutton shami kebabs are the patty; the chicken and lamb seekh packs are the skewer shape. Shami kebabs suit a bun or a plate with chutney; seekh kebabs suit a naan wrap.

Are Nisa's kebabs halal?

Yes. Nisa's is a halal brand and each pack carries its halal certification on the label, as every halal-branded frozen product we stock does. Our own certificates for the fresh meat are on the halal certificate page. The three packs here hold 18 chicken seekh, 16 lamb seekh and 16 mutton shami kebabs.

Do the kebabs arrive frozen?

Yes. Frozen branded packs travel frozen in the same Woolcool insulated box as the fresh meat, with ice gel packs that hold the box at 0-4C for up to 72 hours, and should go straight back into the freezer. DPD delivers Tuesday to Saturday: an order is dispatched the next working day and arrives the day after. Delivery is 6.99 under 75 pounds and free from 75 pounds, with a 25 pound minimum order.
