Looking for beef only? The halal beef mince page sorts every beef grind by fat level. Two packs stand out there: the halal 5% beef mince for lean dishes, and the 10kg halal beef mince pack for caterers and big freezers. Spiced keema also makes a filling for samosa pastry sheets, and a frozen shami kebab from Nisa's goes straight from the freezer to the pan.

Halal Mince Meat Buying Guide & Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our certified Halal butcher cuts, chilled packaging, and delivery.

Which beef mince fat level should I choose?

Match it to the dish. 5% steak mince and 10% beef mince suit keema, pasta sauces and meatballs where you want little fat in the pan; brisket mince at 15% and chuck mince at 12% give burgers and koftas their juiciness; 20% and 30% are for seekh kebabs and anything cooked over a flame, where the fat keeps the meat from drying out. The whole beef range, including a 10kg pack of 5% mince, is on the beef mince page.

What is the difference between lamb, mutton and goat mince?

Age and flavour. Lamb mince is from young animals and is mild; we grind it as baby lamb mince at 15-20% fat and a lean baby lamb mince. Mutton mince is older sheep with a stronger taste, at 10% or 20% fat, and is the traditional choice for keema and seekh kebab. Goat mince is ground at 25% fat so it stays moist on the grill and in a karahi.

Do you sell chicken mince?

Three kinds. Chicken breast mince is the lightest, chicken thigh mince has more fat and more flavour for koftas and chapli kebabs, and the marinated kebab mince is already seasoned for seekh kebabs. All three are sold in 500g to 10kg packs and listed on the chicken mince page, with the rest of the bird under halal chicken.

Is there venison mince?

Yes, venison mince at 15% fat, in 500g to 4kg packs, from our halal venison range. It makes a deeper-flavoured burger, chilli or ragu than beef and is used in exactly the same way, with no change to the recipe.

How is mince packed and delivered?

Mince is ground on the day of dispatch, vacuum-sealed and packed in a Woolcool insulated box with ice gel packs that hold 0-4C for up to 72 hours. DPD delivers Tuesday to Saturday: dispatched the next working day and delivered the day after. Delivery is 6.99 under 60 pounds and free from 60 pounds, with a 15 pound minimum order. Mince spoils faster than whole cuts, so cook it within a day or two of arrival or freeze it on the day. The full range sits under fresh halal meat and poultry.
