How Much Turkey Crown Should I Order?
Order by pack weight: 1kg suits two people, 2kg feeds four, and the 4kg pack covers eight roast-dinner portions. Being boneless, every gram is meat to carve.
How to Cook a Boneless Turkey Crown
Roast skin-on at around 180°C, allowing roughly 25 minutes per 500g, until the centre reaches 72-75°C — it cooks faster and more evenly than a bird with the carcass in. Butter the skin before roasting so it crisps for a roast dinner while the meat stays moist.
Butcher's tip: rest it under foil for 20 minutes before carving for a cleaner slice.
Is a Turkey Crown the Same as a Whole Turkey?
No. A whole turkey keeps the legs, wings and carcass; this crown is the breast joint only, boned out, so every pack is boneless white meat. It's sold whole, or diced into Mid (30-40g), Small (20-25g) or Very Small (10-15g) pieces, or Minced — always skin-on, in 1kg, 2kg or 4kg packs.
Storing Your Turkey Crown
Keep it refrigerated at 0°C to 4°C. If you're not roasting straight away, freeze it on the day it arrives — it keeps for up to 1 month in the freezer, then defrost fully in the fridge before cooking.
