We’re sorry to hear about your experience, and particularly that you felt your return request was not responded to.
We have reviewed the photograph you provided. From the image, there are no obvious visible signs of discolouration or deterioration, although we fully appreciate that a smell cannot be assessed from a photograph alone.
Our deliveries are packed using Woolcool insulated liners and temperature-control packs. The Woolcool material itself does not come into direct contact with the meat — there are separate protective layers, including the liner covering and the sealed/vacuum packaging around the meat.
Vacuum-packed fresh meat can sometimes have an odour immediately after opening which may dissipate after exposure to air. However, if an odour is unusually strong, unpleasant or persists, we would never suggest ignoring your concern or consuming something you are uncomfortable with.
We would have preferred the opportunity to properly investigate this with you when you contacted us, including the product label, delivery details and packaging condition. We apologise if your original message was missed.
