Halal Sourcing and Animal Welfare
Every animal is slaughtered by the non-stunned method, Antibiotic-free and Growth hormone-free, from British Angus, Red Tractor-approved herds.
Is This the Same as a Picanha Steak?
Picanha is usually sold as a single rump cap joint, but this rump reaches you already broken down, never left as one whole piece.
It comes as steaks, diced, strips, chunks or mince, Fat-On or Fat-Off, in 500g to 4kg packs.
Rump Trimming Questions
Does It Arrive Trimmed?
Yes — every pack is cut and trimmed to size before it's packed, so there's no extra butchery needed at home.
What About the Fat?
Choose Fat-Off at checkout for a leaner trim, or keep Fat-On for a thin cap on the grill.
This rump comes packed from 500g up to 4kg.
Go for a 500g or 1kg pack for a smaller meal of steaks or a stir-fry, and step up to the 2kg or 4kg packs for batch cooking or feeding a larger group.
Keep it refrigerated and follow the use-by date printed on the pack.
If you're freezing it, allow around 12 hours to defrost before cooking — plan ahead so it's fully thawed rather than rushed at room temperature.

Basis: beef top sirloin steak, lean and fat together. Reference: USDA FoodData Central, "Beef, top sirloin, steak, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 1/8" fat, choice, raw" (FDC 168728).
The 160-180g chunks and 25-30g dice are sized ready for BBQ skewers.
Strips suit a stir-fry or fajitas, the steaks make a simple chargrilled main, and diced rump works well in a beef karahi.
Pan-seared steaks: Get the pan smoking hot, sear the 225-250g or 450-500g steaks hard on each side, then rest a few minutes before slicing.
Rump skewers: Thread the 160-180g chunks or 25-30g dice onto skewers and finish on the grill or oven.
Quick stir-fry: Toss the 20-30g or 50-60g strips into a hot wok for a fast stir-fry.
Does the Rump Arrive Already Trimmed?
Yes — it's sold only as ready-cut steaks, dice, strips, chunks or mince, never as a whole, untrimmed joint.
Do I Need to Trim the Fat Myself?
No — you choose Fat-On or Fat-Off when you order, and it arrives already prepared that way.
What Does Fat-On Mean for This Cut?
Fat-On leaves a thin fat cap on for flavour on the grill, while Fat-Off is trimmed lean for a quicker cook.
Is There Any Butchery Left to Do at Home?
None — every steak, dice, strip and mince pack arrives already cut and portioned before it's packed.
