Fresh Halal British Beef Ribeye is a well-marbled forequarter cut from Certified Halal, British Angus cattle raised in the UK, sold fresh and chilled in packs from 500g to 4kg. Cut into strips, steaks, dice and mince, it suits pan-frying, stir-fries and steak dinners, never frozen before it reaches you.
What Cutting Styles Are Available?
This ribeye is cut to order in several formats, from whole roasting joints to fine mince:
- Whole for roasting
- Strips for wraps (40g) or stir-fry (20g)
- Diced mid (30-35g) or small (15-20g)
- Hand-minced chopper mince, under 5g
- Steaks at 450-500g, 350-375g, 250-275g or 125-150g
Packs run from 500g up to 4kg, from a single steak portion to a larger freezer batch.
How Should You Store It?
This ribeye arrives fresh and chilled, never frozen, so keep it refrigerated and cook it within the guidance on the pack, the day it arrives.
If you freeze it at home, allow around 12 hours to defrost fully in the fridge before cooking.
How Does Ribeye Differ From Sirloin?
Ribeye and sirloin are both steak cuts, but they aren't the same thing — this ribeye carries the heavier marbling and looser grain of the rib section, which is why it's cut here into steaks from 125-150g up to 450-500g rather than one fixed size.
Sirloin comes from further back along the loin, a leaner muscle with a tighter grain and less fat running through it, so it eats firmer than the rib section this ribeye is cut from.
