In the same Woolcool insulated box as the meat, kept at 0-4C by the ice gel packs for up to 72 hours, by DPD, Tuesday to Saturday: dispatched the next working day and delivered the day after. Leafy herbs such as coriander, mint and methi go in the fridge on arrival and are best used within a few days; onions, potatoes and gourds keep in a cool cupboard. Delivery is 6.99 under 60 pounds and free from 60 pounds, with a 15 pound minimum order.

The gourds first: bitter gourd (karela), bottle gourd (dudhi), ivy gourd (tindora), ridge gourd, snake gourd, ash gourd and chow chow. Then long brinjal, aubergine, fenugreek, spinach, curry leaves, fresh turmeric, betel leaf, green raw mangoes, cassava, elephant yam and purple yam. The full list is on the vegetables page.

The fruit shelf is the everyday bowl: bananas, English apples, oranges, lemons, limes, green and yellow plantain, a whole coconut and green raw mangoes for chutney.
